City of Wharton Beautification Commission

City of Wharton's Beautification Commission, a Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate, is dedicated to projects that 'Keep Wharton Beautiful'! 

 

The Commission holds public meetings monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm at 120 E. Caney.

Wharton Dog Park Fundraising

The City of Wharton's Beautification Commission is raising funds to create Wharton's first ever dog park - Help us reach our goal of $40,000 by donating today!

 

Donations can be made to the Wharton Beautification Commission in cash or check at City Hall at 120 E. Caney, Wharton, TX. 

 

Want a plaque recognizing your support? Ask us about sponsoring a park item or section of fence!

Planter Adoption Program

Want to be part of Keeping Wharton Beautiful? 

 

The Beautification Commission's Planter Adoption Program aims to engage and grow civic pride for the community. This program  helps 'Keep Wharton Beautiful' through volunteered upkeep of planters across the City and is open to any individual. business, organization, or group.

2022 Fall Sweep

The annual Fall Sweep plans are underway, watch for details to be announced! Any city resident can take advantage of this FREE opportunity to dispose of junk at this drive-through drop-off event! 

 

Vehicle tires are permitted, but not big tractor or big truck tires!

 

NONE OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS PERMITTED:

  • batteries
  • paint
  • chemicals
  • pesticides
  • fertilizer
  • lawn products
  • large truck or tractor tires

 

Must be City of Wharton resident, bring an ID or utility bill for proof of residence!
