Facilities Maintenance Director: Bob Baker
The Facilities Maintenance Department responsibilities include maintaining approximately 60 acres of City Parks, 65 pieces of park equipment and approximately 15 acres of the City’s building facilities and grounds. Maintenance includes mowing, trimming, trash pick-up, tree pruning, cleaning flowerbeds, cleaning restrooms and other routine maintenance. The Facilities Maintenance Department also operates the Wharton Municipal Swimming Pool.

Park Hours: City Parks are open to the public daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except for the Santa Fe Trail which is open to the public daily from 4:00 a.m. to midnight.
