Wharton Citizens Police Academy
Chief Terry David Lynch and the members of the Wharton Police Department would like to invite you to attend the Wharton Citizens Police Academy.
The purpose of the Academy is to provide the citizens with a better understanding of the daily operation of your Police Department. The class hours are 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. every Wednesday evening for 13 weeks.
During the 13-week course you will be exposed to many areas of law enforcement. You will have the opportunity to:
- Ride with an on duty Patrol Officer.
- Witness how emergency calls are received and dispatched.
- Witness Detectives investigate crimes, and
- Observe Crime Scene Technicians collect evidence.
Join the citizens who have graduated our Academy by completing the application. Applications should be forwarded to Wharton Police Department, 1407 N. Richmond Rd.
